George Washington Birthplace Paving

New Dominion Construction partnered with the National Park Service to complete paving improvements at George Washington Birthplace National Monument in Colonial Beach, Virginia. The project included pavement repairs, installation of a new tar-and-chip roadway surface, ADA-compliant parking upgrades, concrete pavement replacement, and storm drainage improvements to enhance durability and site accessibility. Performed within an active historic park, the work was carefully phased to maintain visitor access while preserving the monument’s historic character. The completed project improved roadway performance and visitor safety while demonstrating NDC’s expertise in infrastructure rehabilitation within culturally significant environments.
